DRINKING WATER
There is no energy or calory in water in contrast to oil, protein and carbonhydrate. But water is vital. It has a very important role in chemical reactions in our body. For this reason, you can think that water is the most important nutrient of body. Despite the fact that we can live a little more without other foodstuff, we can not live more than a couple of days without any water. 50-60 percent of the human body consists of water. Water carries oxygen and food to every part of the body via the blood circulation. It regulates body temperature through perspiration, helps flush unnecessary substances out with urine, makes joints stayed moist and shapes your all cells. 1.5-2 liters of water a normal adult needs per a day. Thirst is an indication of that body needs water. However it is recommended that you should drink 6-8 glasses of water a day even you do not feel thirsty. Athletes or the people in hot places or high altitude need water much more.
Water is the main substance of many drinks. However we have to keep alcohol and caffeinated drinks out of it. Because these drinks,due to diuretic properties, can cause water disposal instead of meeting the water needs of the body with clean water not other drinks. Drinking clean water becomes extremely important while environmental pollution increases rapidly. Check whether water is clean or not , from the source to the time you received and check the availability of hygienic conditions. Search that it is natural spring water or cleaned with special methods and softened city water.And be aware about that it is checked by authorities regularly.
You can purify the city water with the "reverse osmosis" water purification system at home and drink it safely.
